Google Gives China Free Music

Despite the fact that Google's YouTube site was just blocked in China for a few days, the Internet search company announced today that it would offer free links to music downloads exclusively for the Chinese market.
Competition from free music sites all over China makes gaining a foothold in the market extremely tough, company executives said. To combat this, Google partnered with the 140 recording companies to offer the high-quality, free and above all legal downloads.
The music will be offered on the website: Top100.cn and the downloads will be paid for off of advertising revenue from the site.
Google China's President Kai-fu Lee said that the new offerings will move China to a "legal model."
What does that say about Internet users, that to make something legal, it has to be free? And how long will it take before users outside China start accessing proxy servers to get into Google China's free music troves?

It’s hard to judge which is legal or not,and the point is all things are the Gov’s call.
