Chinese Olympic pairs skaters, Zhao Hongbo (赵宏博) and Shen Xue (申雪), who won gold at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, are getting married on ice at the Capital Gymnasium in Beijing Saturday. While legally married since 2007, the couple has not had a traditional Chinese wedding, which often includes food and festivities.
Though the wedding is anything but traditional, the couple will be surrounded by family, friends and fans who will gather to watch some of the world's best figure skaters skate to routines in honor of the couple's big day. Among the star-studded lineup: 2010 Olympic silver medalist Mao Asada, who will skate a tango, 2006 Olympic gold medalist Evgeni Plushenko, who will skate to Sex Bomb, and American Olympic skater Johnny Weir, who will skate to Lady Gaga's Poker Face. To cap off the evening, Zhao and Shen will skate to Turandot.
Now that's what I call a cool wedding.
