Yao Defen, the world's tallest women, died in November, according to the Associated Press
At 7-feet, 7-inches, Yao was confirmed as the world's tallest woman in January 2010 by the Guiness Book of World Records. It's not clear what caused the 39-year-old's death though Yao suffered from gigantism and had a tumor on her pituitary gland which was said to disrupt her levels of growth hormone, according to a local newspaper.
