After sales of luxury goods were down last year, it looks like Chinese consumers, particularly men, are back snapping up luxury goods at retailers like Gucci and Burberry, according to Reuters.
Some analysts attribute sluggish sales at the end of 2012 to a slowdown in China's economy coupled with corruption coming to the forefront of conversation and the Party Congress meeting which decided China's next group of leaders. Now that the new leadership has been chosen and Chinese New Year is a few weeks away, consumers are heading to the malls in search of gifts for their family and co-workers with men outnumbering the women.
