Chinese name seems very popular now. I often get emails asking for a Chinese name based on his/her English name. So I have put together a list of popular English names and their corresponding Chinese names by gender. The Chinese names are mainly translated by the pronunciation of the English names. Japanese Kanji are originally from China so most of them are the same as their corresponding Chinese characters, but Kanji are used less and less now in Japan. You don't see a lot of Kanji in a modern Japanese book anymore. If you need more info about Kanji, check out our Japanese Language site.
